Abstract: Nevertheless, the problem of explaining psychological disorder has always triggered debates and discussions about it. That is why its psychological, cognitive, social, cultural and religious aspects have captured the attention of experts. In many societies and human culture, the idea of psychological disorders and their treatment is linked to some cultural concepts such as religion, social values, norms and sociocultural customs prevailing in these societies. This work attempts to shed light on the role played by the cultural dimension in the perception and explanation of the psychological disorder
