Abstract: The current study aims to know the extent of environmental citizenship and its dimensions among students of some averages of the state of Ouargla, as the study was conducted on a sample of 200 students and a questionnaire consisting of five dimensions (environmental knowledge, environmental awareness, environmental behavior, environmental awareness, environmental participation) was carried out by the researcher The study concluded that pupils mediating in the Wilayat of Ouargla feel a high degree of environmental citizenship and its dimensions, and this feeling is in favor of females, and that environmental citizenship has become implicit in the school curricula and in the class and extra-curricular activities, hence the Algerian school is keen to include the activities Extracurricular in its educational system because they are aware that the availability of such opportunities for young people to learn and practice new skills through practical experience, will implicitly their chances of educational attainment. The adoption of this concept results in the birth of a new generation of students with a more inclusive educational experience and a greater ability to perform, and more importantly, it enriches and promotes a culture of success. If we want to benefit from this success and reap its fruits, it is indispensable for us to invest in this vision and move it forward towards a new horizon
