The importance of information in building an economic model for the inflation index in Algeria

Abstract

If the information expresses a set of organized and arranged data in a way that gives a special meaning and a homogeneous combination of concepts and ideas that one can use to access and discover knowledge, Industrial information is a vocabulary of scientific, technical and economic knowledge that can be transferred, circulated and applied in order to facilitate and increase economic growth processes. The growing interest in accurate information and correct data, documenting statistics until they are saved by various means, retrieving and exchanging them becomes increasingly important in relation to the large and influential role that information plays in proper planning, decision-making, research and study. The researcher can obtain his data directly from its original sources or indirectly from the secondary sources. In his analysis of the behavior of some economic indicators, the economic researcher turns to industrial data bases to obtain accurate data on these indicators (the total output of the industry, Number of industrial establishments, Salaries and wages, Return on investment in industry in all its forms, fixed assets and fixed capital formation, ....) So we used the data of the World Bank for Data (Talha) on the indicators of the Algerian economy, to analyze and study the inflation index in Algeria for the period between 1970-2018, Building a standard model using ARIMA models according to Box-Jenkins methodology, To try to understand the behavior of the change in this economic indicator, Hence, controlling the predictive power of this model.
