Abstract: The quality and rational management of wastes in the hospital prevents harm to human health and the environment. The need for this is therefore to conduct a preliminary study on the waste produced by the hospital to determine the quantity and type of the equipment for sorting, packagingg, storage, transportation, treatment and disposal, and the personnel required by the department. Taking into account, inter alia, our work is directed toward studying waste at Mohammad Boudiaf and Rakalla Hospital, where the hospital allowed us to comment and based on the results of this work, it seems that:❖Disrespect for sorting in some services❖DOM in yellow hazardous waste bags is hazardous to cleaners❖Workers are mobilized❖There is a shortage of bags and containers with the selected bag type runners❖Neglect of s❖ome professionals and incompetence.❖The risk is that the bags are not transported correctly because they are done manually with all the risks that this may create.❖No cleaning and cleaning of collection vehicles daily❖No central and intermediate storage space❖The lack of knowledge of health and hygiene personnel about the procedures for collecting, cleaning and treating waste management, in particular sorting and the risks associated with the treatment of waste resulting from health care activities, is an important concern.
