Abstract: the nursing profession is one of the noblest social and human professions with many requirements and multiple tasks, resulting in an imbalance between giving and taking The nursing profession becomes a source of professional and social psychological stress, And increase the degree of responsibility towards them, which increases the pressure and anxiety at work, especially when it comes to critical situations, Given our public hospitals, we notice that they receive many patients every day, which increases the suffering of nurses from all kinds of pressures in their work and affects them psychologically, socially and professionally. From the above, we ask the following questions: What are the sources of occupational stress in the nursing class of public hospitals? How does this pressure affect the nurse? What are the mechanisms to reduce them ?, and we found that nurses' sources of pressure differ psychologically, socioprofessionally, etc. and this negatively affects performance
