Abstract

The purpose of this article is to shed light on the sociological approach to ethics proposed by Durkheim, founder of sociology and distinguished by a functionalist analysis linking morality and social structure. It is this belief that makes him say that each social type has the ethics it needs, just as each biological type has its neurological system that allows it to maintain itself. This article allows us to understand the evolutionist conception of Durkheim, which makes the transition from a simple archaic structure to a complex modern structure, the main cause of the uncertainty of moral values and their dysfunction in modern industrial societies
