Abstract: The objective of this work ,is to study the adsorption power of an algerian aluminosilicate materials diatomite and acid –modified diatomite to remove an organic pollutant ,an herbicid ,Quinmerac (Qm),the materials ,were characterised by X-ray diffraction analysis ,X-ray fluorescence ,transmission electron spectroscopy ,scanning electron microscopy and physical adsorption of gases .The experiments were carried out at ambient temperature in bath mode at different pH, results showed that, the amount of Quinmerac adsorbed increased at higher pH attaining a maximum pH at PH2,5...
