The Impact of inflation rates on foreign direct investment inflows in Arab Maghreb Countries Econometric Study Using Panel Data Models During the Period (1990-2018)

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى محاولة قياس أثر معدلات التضخم على تدفقات الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر في دول المغرب العربي للفترة (1990-2018)، باستخدام تحليل الانحدار لبيانات السلاسل الزمنية المقطعية، اعتماداً في ذلك على منهجية التكامل المشترك ونموذج تصحیح الخطأ لبیانات بانل (Panel Data)، وقد خلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة توازنیة طویلة الأجل بین معدلات التضخم وتدفقات الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر، كما كَشفت نتائج مُقدرَات وسط المجموعة المدمجة (PMGE) عن وجود علاقة معنویة وعكسية بين معدلات التضخم وتدفقات الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر في دول المغرب العربي على المدى الطويل، وهو ما تؤكده العلاقة النظرية. Abstract: This study aims to try to measure the Impact of inflation rates on foreign direct investment inflows in Arab Maghreb Countries for the period (1990-2018), using regression analysis of cross-sectional time series data, based on the cointegration methodology and error correction model for Panel data, The results of the study concluded the existence of a long-run equilibrium relationship between inflation rates and foreign direct investment inflows, The results indicate an inverse and significant relationship between inflation rates and FDI inflows in the long term in Arab Maghreb Countries in (PMGE) group, which is confirmed by the theoretical relationship.
