Abstract: This study aims to identify the reasons for the low rate of entrepreneurial activity in Algeria by measuring the entrepreneurial intention of Algerians and identifying the most important factors that affect them. To this end, we conducted a field study of 1,248 individuals, using the questionnaire tool, where data was emptied and analyzed using the SPSS V.25.We have reached a number of results: The sample brings them to the idea of creating an organization, but the biggest challenges they face touch both the funding aspect of the project and the existence of family support; They are also aware what the entrepreneur's work is and the various activities associated with itMore than half of the sample has the entrepreneurial intention; we have found that the variable of desire explains the average 50% of the individual's entrepreneurial intention, which is worth paying attention to enhancing the individual's wishes, which is affected by the individual's awareness of the capabilities to create his or her own business, the views of the individual's surroundings have an impact on his professional choices, and religious convictions and social structures play a role in explaining the desire of individuals to establish their own business
