Shaykh Sidi Mhamed bin Yusuf Atfeesh (1332) and his Approach in his Manuscript “al-Masael al-Tahqiqiya fi bayan al-Tuhfa al-Ajrumiya”

Abstract

Shaykh Sidi Mhamed bin Yusuf Atfeesh (1332 AH) known as “Qutb al-Aemma” is considered as one of the prominent scholars in Algeria and the Islamic world in modern time with regard to his rich scientific and intellectual legacy. The most important discipline on which Shaykh Atfeesh focused is the science of Arabic language due to its importance in understading and teaching the holy Qur’an. In this respect, he wrote more than fifteen manuscripts, the most important of which is “al-Masael al-Tahqiqiya fi bayan al-Tuhfa al-Ajrumiya”.
