dc.description.abstractThis study aims at examining the path of elections in Algeria since the shift toward political and party pluralism at the end of the 1980s It focuses on legislative elections as a mechanism for political change and the role of the electoral system as a mechanism that governs the conduct of the electoral process and adjusts its results according to the sociology approach of elections based on three crisis mechanics, which are the freedom of the voter, the election competition and the election bet to settle the post-authoritarian elections that the country will witness in the future it would be a true test of the credibility of a real political change that would be interrupted by the authoritarian legacy of electoral actionen_US
