Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) Is a halophyte, culture knows a great commercial success and its production can contribute to food security especially in the Mediterranean regions. As much as alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is a Fabaceae of great importance forage in Algeria. This work focuses on the search for allelopathic effect of aqueous extracts of the rhizosphere of alfalfa germination and post-germination of quinoa seeds (variety Q102). For this, different concentrations of the extracts were used (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%). The results of this experiment showed that the aqueous extracts of the rhizosphere of alfalfa had no significant effect (inhibitor or stimulator) on seed germination and post-germination of quinoa seedlings for all the concentrations used.
