Abstract

Through our study of the role of Facebook in providing information services about libraries: a field study of the Facebook page of the Public Library in Khanchela to introduce the library and its services that it provides to the beneficiaries and the extent to which it keeps up with various technological developments in order to bring them closer to its services, through accreditation On social networks to provide their services and publicize them and highlight the role of her Facebook page in bringing the beneficiaries closer to them through the use of descriptive method based on analysis, to describe the most important services provided by the library through its Facebook page and analyze the interview questions to reach A series of results, the most important of which is that the Public Library of Khanchela used these modern applications in order to keep up with technological developments on the one hand, and on the other hand to provide its services through the Facebook page due to its ease of use as well as its wide spread among different segments of society in order to publicize its activities and attract the largest number of beneficiaries and bring them closer to the library in order to identify their modern sources and respond to their inquiries and comments and inform them of all new in addition to the selective dissemination of information that benefits them according to their needs
