The introduction representation in Kalila & Dimna By Abdullah Ibn Al-Muqafaa

Abstract

The importance of the research lies in finding the use of the different prefaces / introduction in Kalila & Dimna book that written by the authors. Aiming of searching and analysing the prefaces based on the Old Arabic Literature analysis. The focus of my resrach will be on three different prefaces by (A’rd AlKitab) by Abdullah Bin Al-Maqfa'a, (bab Tawjeih Kesra Anu Sharawan Barzouy to India) and (Dr. Barzoyeh from Bazerghamer Ibn Al-Pakhtakan words). The objective of this research is to understand how these different prefaces appeared in the book and how it functions. The descriptive approach method was followed in the research which is based on various methods such as the poetic approach for Gerard Genette that helps to know the qualitative features of literary texts.
