Abstract

ترتبط الضيافة داخل أوساط المجتمع العربي بالمأدبة التي يقيمها المضيف على شرف ضيوفه مع ما يرافقها من مظاهر العناية والاهتمام بهم، إلا أن هذا لا يعكس بالضرورة وجود وعي دقيق بكافة الدلالات التي يمكن أن يختزنها هذا اللفظ العربي الأصيل؛ دلالات سعى المقال إلى استنباطها من جذر "الضيافة" اللغوي ومختلف تقليباته، وذلك قبل أن يغنيها بأخرى وردت تلميحا أو تصريحا في القرآن الكريم. The Hospitality in the Arab community is associated with the feast prepared by the host in honor of guests, as a sign of care and attention to them. However, this does not necessarily reflect any accurate awareness of all the significations that this original Arabic term can convey; the Article extracts these significations from the linguistic root of "hospitality" and its various combinations before they are enriched by other ones brought about by the Holy Quran.
