Abstract: This work aims to analyze the consequences of the health crisis caused by the coronavirus on world tourism, based on reliable statistics. Research results show that the consequences of this crisis are disastrous for the various sectors of the economy, particularly tourism, which accounts for 10% of the planet’s GDP and 12-13% of jobs. he situation worsened with the installation of containment where millions of people living in the tourism industry were laid off temporarily or permanently. Colossal losses caused, they amount to billions of USD, in addition to the layoff of millions of workers in accommodation and food services. To remedy the situation, the world tourism organization and the authorities in certain countries have put in place urgent measures to revive the sector.
