The investment in shale gas has been a major development known as the shale-gas revolution since 2010, especially in North American countries, where its extraction rates have increased significantly, affecting other energy, especially oil, which has been falling, especially since 2014. The extraction of shale gas has also provoked a wide controversy in many countries around the world about its dangerous effects on the future of environmental sustainability, The aim of this study is to compare the economic feasibility of exploiting shale gas for countries that possess such quantities and the nature of the environmental concerns related to its exploitation, The debate between the opportunities offered by shale gas and the challenges posed by it to environmental sustainability has been analyzed by drawing on a range of scientific reports and studies to show that the advantages of shale-gas exploitation and profitmaking will depend on future technological development, which can provide a good way to exploit shale gas with consideration Environmental accounting, since the methods currently adopted do not guarantee that the effects of their exploitation on environmental sustainability, human health, ecological area and future quality of life.en_US
