dc.description.abstractThe research is about progress in the domain of living organisms, their development through genetic modification, which has been clearly confirmed with the appearance of covid 19- virus, where its genes have been used to find an effective vaccine for it, we also aim to highlight patent grants to various areas of biotechnology, and to see whether expansion of patent grants is a monopoly?, or an innovation encourage? we have used the analytical methodology by analyzing various legal texts related to patent grants in the biotechnology . In the Face of this situation, we conclude that the major powers are seeking to expand the patent grants to various vital inventions, when the developing are still suffering from dependency as a result of the importation of medecins and vaccines at high pricesen_US
