Abstract: the purpose of this study is to know the effect of the Covid 19 pandemic on the degree of apparent anxiety in university students, who return to their university after an interruption of more than 9 months due to the fear of outbreak of the epidemic, and this despite the fact that the number of detected cases continued to increase, which led to a kind of tension and anxiety among the students. The methodology used is the descriptive approach. The field study was conducted on a sample of 324 students from Mouloud Mammeri University from different disciplines, where the Taylor Apparent Anxiety Scale (translated by Mustafa Fahmy) was usedm. The results of the study showed that the students have a high degree of anxiety, especially With the increase in the number of detected cases and the number of deaths and the fear of the second wave of the pandemic and the development of the virus.
