Abstract: In This Works we study the optical properties of pure zinc Oxide thin films by dissolving zinc acétate in méthanol at a concentration of 0 .1mol/l and thème on glass solides Under a temperature of 350C° using the Pyrolysis spray technique . The Research included the study of transmit tance Spectrum, absorbance, Energy gap , Urbach Energy , réfractive index and extinction coefficient of the Prepared films . The résulta show éd That zinc Oxide films have high transparence, reaching (97%) in the visible région, and have an énergie of (3.24eV), as Will as a very high absorption coefficient in the range (2-3.25 eV). how ver, the Urbach énergie value lequel to 326m e v which Is opposite to the Energy gap value. Also, the réfractive index Waas determined as 1.67 and the extinction factor were 9.79. at wavelength (550nm), which proved That the surface of the samplers Is homogeneous and dose not surfer absorption in the incoming photon Energy
