Abstract: The current study aims at identifying the addiction to social media networking sites for secondary school students and its relationship to social alienation. To deeply investigate this topic, a descriptive approach was adopted; after proving their psychometric features, two tools were chosen to collect data .The tools were later applied on the sample of the study. After the statistic process, the following results were obtained: There is a link between social media addiction and social alienation, there is no difference in social alienation by sex, abut there are differences, in this regard, by age, there are as well differences in the age-sex reaction, there are no differences in social media addiction according to gender, however, there are differences by age and there are no differences according to sex-age reaction
