The media and their role in preserving the dialectical and cultural heritage of the southeastern Algerian region

Abstract

This study aims to research the important role assumed by the media, on top of which is the local radio (Radio Algeria from Ouargla) Through its cultural contents and programs that deal with cultural affairs, especially those related to the dialectical and cultural heritage in the southeastern region of Algeria, by means of descriptive reading of the programs presented in the program network during the season 2017/2018. The study relied on a descriptive and analytical approach to collecting, describing and analyzing data qualitatively, which enabled us to reach a number of important results, the most prominent of which were: Radio Algeria from Ouargla paid great attention to the cultural and dialectical heritage of the southeastern region of Algeria in general, Most of the time of the cultural programs was devoted to those speaking the Amazigh language, concerned with the customs, traditions and social values inherited among the generations of the region in exchange for its counterpart in the Arabic language, and this proves the important role it seeks to play in defining and preserving the Amazigh cultural heritage
