dc.description.abstractThe study aimed to identify the role of e-governance in enhancing transparency of the private sector in the State of Qatar. The study used a qualitative methodology, collecting and analyzing data from secondary and primary sources. Previous documents and literature were reviewed and analyzed. Interviews were also conducted with a sample of 46 stakeholders in the public and private sector, non-governmental organizations, and society. The study found that egovernance has contributed to enhancing the transparency of the private sector in the State of Qatar, as well as the availability of legislative and legal frameworks concerned with enhancing transparency and combating corruption because of implementing Qatar’s 2030 vision. The study indicated the need to continue developing various governance channels for the sake of further improvement and development in the transparency of the private sector. The study also recommended the possibility of benefiting from the British experience in developing Qatar’s local experience of e-governance as it is one of the pioneering experiences in this field, considering the adaptation UK’s experience to the Qatari local contexten_US
