In response to the expectations of consumers and public authorities in search of healthy and dietetic animal products. Also, in order to enhance the various assets of the oases in the south of the country, the integration of outdoor poultry farming (label chicken, turkey, goose and duck) allows farmers to be more rational by diversifying their products, to improve their income, to fight against pests and weeds and to bring organic matter to the soil and aesthetics to the space. In addition, the presence of animals promotes the consumption of infested fruit that has fallen to the ground, thereby accelerating the decomposition of the leaves and limiting the development of the primary scab inoculum. Oasis spaces have important natural capacities (water, basins, vegetation, trees and shrubs, space, shade, pedofauna, etc.) that can be exploited for the development of open-air chicken and palmiped farming ; a sector often marginalized through agricultural development plans. They must also reassure and encourage the actors in these areas to reposition themselves in order to effectively take charge of this activity. This overview is dedicated to agricultural operators and more particularly to farmers who are potentially favorable for the promotion of mixed farming combining “phoeniciculture-open air breeding”. This synthesis reviews the opportunities available in oases, all the technical specifications and standards legislation governing the integration and management of alternative farming (label chicken and waterfowl)en_US
