Abstract: Algeria, due to its varied climate and the nature of its soils, has a fairly rich flora of medicinal and aromatic plants, most of which grow spontaneously. The valorization of these plants is a particularly interesting field to develop. The study aims to identify the floristic procession of Anemone palmata (Ranunculaceae), in the southern region of ChebketSellaoua (North East of Oum El Bouaghi, East of Algeria). It is a medicinal species widely used by traditional healers of the region as a sedative for dental pain. The accompanying species were inventoried according to a systematic sampling and to the topography (the slope), the representativeness, the homogeneity of the vegetation and according to a North / South transect. The results led to the inventory of 38 species with the dominance of Globularia alypum, Stipa tenacissima, Paronychia argentea, Cytisus sessilifolius, Aegilops sp., Asphodelus aestivus, and Thymus algeriensis.
