dc.description.abstract | The study of some bioecological aspects of Viracholalivia was carried out in two regions (Ouargla and Touggourt) in southeastern Algeria. On pomegranate, the infestation by this pest starts as soon as the inflorescences appear (mid-March).At the ripening of pomegranates this rate arrives at 15.01%, 16.14%, and 18.22% respectively for the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. The female generally prefers to lay her eggs in the half of the fruit close to the calyx with a preference for the southern orientation. V. livia shows polyphagy within several fruits in the surveyed palm groves. | en_US |
