Abstract: For a radiative collisional model, population densities of atomic levels are determined by a system of equations containing the various atomic processes rates. The electron impact ionization is an important atomic process in the line radiative emissions simulation and also for the study of ion balance. Several issues related to the study of laboratory plasmas, astrophysics and controlled thermonuclear fusion require the knowledge of the atomic structure as the energies of different levels and cross sections. This work is based on the FAC code (Flexible Atomic Code) to calculate the ionization cross sections of Be, Be+1, Be+2 and Be+3. The ionization rate will be generated by a numerical calculation. We studied the effects of hot electrons fraction in the ionization rates. The hot electrons fraction is represented by a non-Maxwellian distribution. The ionization rates are generated from cross sections and weighted by this distribution. The use of non-Maxwellian distribution of hot electrons for different fractions showed the sensitivity of these rates to fractions of hot electrons. The results are compared to those found in the literature
