Abstract

يعد ىذا العمل كمحاولة للإحاطة ببعض جوانب الفكر الفمسفي لمقديس أوغسطين، وخاصة في الجانب الأخلاقي فقد حاول من خلال إسياماتو الفكرية والمعرفية أن يقدم لنا نموذج مثالي لمقيم الأخلاقية في فترة العصور الوسطى، معتمدا في ذلك عمى تعاليم الديانة المسيحية وما تحويو الكتب المقدسة ليذه الديانة، وعميو فقد اتخذ من الحضارة الرومانية كميدان لمد ا رسة والبحث لكي يعالج مختمف القضايا والإشكاليات التي تحيط بالبشرية، لذلك قام بصياغة نظرية المدينتين التي تتحدث عن كل من ''مدينة الله ''و المدينة الأرضية ''مدينة الشيطان ''وعميو فقد كان مشروع المدينتين المثال الذي عبر من خلالو عن طبيعة النظام السياسي والأخلاقي الذي يحكم كل من سكان المدينة السماوية والمدينة الأرضية، موضحا بذلك طبيعة العلاقة بينيما والمتمثمة في علاقة ص ا رع بينيما وذلك ا رجع للاختلاف طبيعة القيم الأخلاقية والسياسية التي تحكم كل من المدينتين.
