The Saharais characterized by its very arid climate. However, many indicators indicate that this region experienced wetter conditions during the Quaternary. This work reinforces the results of studies carried out on paleolakesofthe lower valley of Wadi Mya during the Quaternary, through an inventory of paleolake sites. The results showed that the studied sites are located in N’Goussa, SebkhetMellala, GaretEchemia, Aouinet Moussa, El Bour, SaïdOtbaandSedrata. These paleolakes were probably active between 4000 and 10600 BC. This work shows the importance of these sediments in the study of paleoenvironmental evolution and that prospections can reveal other paleolakes that allow us to make significant progress in the reconstruction of paleoenvironmental changes.-
