dc.description.abstractThe current study aimed to implement a behavioral cognitive therapy program with mothers of autistic children after identifying the various mental disorders experienced by these mothers, which was based on the basic problem of: Does the mother of an autistic child suffer from mental disorders due to her son's condition? The study was at the Pedagogical Psychological Center for Mentally Disabled Children in Chlef. The researchers used the clinical approach based on the case study by relying on both clinical observation and clinical interviewing on a research sample of 3 mothers of autistic children. The results of the study showed: The mother of an autistic child suffers from several psychological disorders, the most important of which is anxiety and stress, the main reason for which is the negative thoughts that the mother carries due to her son's disorder, and the mother needs behavioral cognitive therapy in order to balance her mental healthen_US
