ترجمة أسلوب التورية في القرآن الكريم إلى اللغة الإنجليزية

Abstract

Puns are a kind of wordplay which is a manipulation of meaning that creates a double meaning in the context of speech. The pun is characterized by an aesthetic touch with different goals that are used according to the speaker’s desire and purpose; most of them are used to hide the exact meaning cleverly. This research aims to reveal the mechanism of translating Quranic puns into English in the translation of Arthur John Arbbery and Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall, through conducting a comparative analytical study using a model proposed by Dirk Delabastita, where he identified nine strategies that can be used when translating the puns. The aim was to identify the translation strategies applied by each translator in the examples we have chosen in twenty seven Surahs in the holly Quran were selected randomly and to determine the most frequently used strategy in each translation and also to identify what types of English puns were produced by the translators in target text .The results indicated that the “pun to pun, pun to non-pun, pun to related rhetorical device, editorial techniques and pun to zero” strategies were applied by translators to translate the puns. In addition, “pun to non-pun” was the most frequently used strategy by all translators.

Le calembour est une sorte de jeu de mots qui est une manipulation du sens qui crée un double sens dans le contexte de la parole. Le jeu de mots se caractérise par une touche esthétique avec différents objectifs qui sont utilisés selon le désir et le but de l'orateur ; la plupart d'entre eux sont utilisés pour cacher intelligemment le sens exact. Cette recherche vise à révéler le mécanisme de traduction des jeux de mots coraniques en anglais en la traduction d'Arthur John Arbbery et Muhammad Marmaduke Pickyhall, à travers mener une étude analytique comparative à l'aide d'un modèle proposé par Dirk Delabastita, où il a identifié neuf stratégies pouvant être utilisées lors de la traduction des jeux de mots. L'objectif était d'identifier les stratégies de traduction appliquées par chaque traducteur dans les exemples que nous avons choisis dans vingt-sept sourates du Saint Coran ont été sélectionnés au hasard et de déterminer la stratégie la plus fréquemment utilisée dans chaque traduction et également d'identifier quels types de jeux de mots anglais étaient produit par les traducteurs dans le texte cible. Les résultats ont indiqué que les stratégies “pun to pun, pun to non-pun, pun to related rhetorical device, editorial techniques et pun to zero” ont été appliquées par les traducteurs pour traduire les jeux de mots. De plus, le " pun to non-pun " était la stratégie la plus fréquemment utilisée par tous les traducteurs.

تعتبر التورية نوع من أنواع التلاعب بالمعنى بحيث تقوم بخلق معنى مزدوج في سياق الكلام، تتسم التورية بانها ذات لمسة جمالية بأهداف مختلفة تستخدم حسب رغبة المتكلم وهدفه واغلبها لإخفاء المعنى الحقيقي بطريقة ذكية. يعد هذا البحث محاولة لكشف آلية ترجمة التورية القرآنية الى اللغة الإنجليزية في ترجمة كل من Arthur John Arbbery وMuhammad Marmaduke Pickthall من خلال القيام بدراسة تحليلية مقارنة تستند على نموذج اقترحه Dirk Delabastita حيث حدد تسع إستراتيجيات يمكن استخدامها عند ترجمة أسلوب التورية، والهدف من هذه الدراسة هو استكشاف الإستراتيجيات المطبقة من طرف كل مترجم في النماذج المختارة من 27 سورة قرآنية التي وقع عليها الاختيار عشوائيا، ومعرفة نسبة استخدام كل إستراتيجية وعدد مرات استخدامها من طرف كل مترجم. أظهرت النتائج المحصلة أن أكثر الاستراتجيات استعمالا كانت كل من: pun to pun) )، (pun to non-pun) ،pun to rehetorical device) )،editorial) (techniques و((pun to zero. بالإضافة الى هذا فقد اشارت نتائج الدراسة أيضا الى ان الاستراتجية الأكثر تكرارا من قبل كلا المترجمين كانت استراتجية (pun to non-pun).
