Strategies For maintaining Cultural Identity in Children's Translation Case Study:"AdventureTime" Cartoon

Abstract

This study aims to search for strategies in the translation of dubbing and subtitling in the audio-visual field, which preserve the cultural identity of the child. The audio-visual translation allows the clash of cultural differences, and this is what forces the translator to use some strategies to avoid misunderstanding, especially if the recipient is Child. What we have worked on is adopting the comparative analytical approach in terms of comparing the original episodes in English and the Arabic dubbed version of the blog we have chosen represented in the cartoon series “Adventure Time” in order to identify the strategies adopted by the translator to remedy the differences of cultures on the one hand and preserve the identity of the child culture on the other hand.

La présente étude vise à étudier l'utilisation des stratégies de traduction du doublage et sous-titrage dans le domaine audiovisuel qui préservent l'identité culturelle de l'enfant. La traduction audiovisuelle permet le choc des différences culturelles, et c'est ce qui oblige le traducteur à utiliser certaines stratègies pour éviter les malentendus surtout si le destinataire est enfant. ce sur qui nous avons travaillé d'adopter l'approche analytique comparative en termes de comparaison des épisodes originaux en anglais et de la version doublée en arabe du blog que nous avons choisi représenté dans la série de dessins animés "Adventure Time" pour d'identifier les stratégies adoptées par le traducteur remédier aux différences de culture et préserver l'identité culturelle de l'enfant

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى البحث عن إستراتيجيات في ترجمتي الدبلجة و السترجة في مجال السمعي البصري التي من ڜأنها المحافظة على الهوية الثقافية للطفل ،تسمح الترجمة السمعية البصرية بتصادم الإختلافات الثقافية و هذا ما يرغم المترجم على الإستعانة ببعض الإستراتيجيات لتجنب حدوث سوء الفهم خاصة ما إذ كان المتلقي طفل .ماعملنا عليه هو تبني المنهج تحليلي المقارن من حيث المقارنة بين الحلقات الأصلية باللغة الإنكليزية و النسخة العربية المدبلجة للمدونة التي إخترناها المتمثلة في المسلسل الكرتوني "وقت المغامرة" بغية التعرف على الإستراتيجيات المعتمدة من طرف المترجم لتدارك إختلاف الثقافات من جهة و الحفاظ على هوية الطفل الثقافية من جهة أخرى ..
