This study aims to determine the concentrations of heavy metals, such as Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb), and Mercury (Hg), and evaluate their movement in the soil and plants irrigated with wastewater from the desinfection station in Touggourt (Southeast Algeria ). The extraction of heavy metals from sewage water is conducted prior to the treatment process, The presence of lead metal has been detected at a concentration of 0.00126 ppm, which was below the permissible limit set by the World Health Organization. prior to the treatment process. After the treatment process, the detection of the mentioned metal was not possible due to its deposition in the sludge, which exhibited higher metal concentrations compared to the other samples. As for the soil and plants, no contamination with the studied metals was detected, as all values were below the permissible limit. This can be attributed to the fact that the treated wastewater did not exhibit any pollution with any of the studied metals, and the influential factors on the movement of heavy metals did not facilitate their easy transportationen_US
