Abstract: | The instability problem in power system is of great importance in current studies. The static synchronous series compensator (UPFC) (Unified Power Flow Controller) is a FACTS device (Flexible Alternative Current Transmission Systems) for the stabilization of power systems with high efficiency. In this paper, we examine the performance of the UPFC device equipped first with a classical PI-D regulator, then with a FLC-D regulator. The static synchronous series compensator should be first stabilized. The results obtained with the regulator FLC-D are better than those obtained with classical control |
