dc.description.abstract | Energy production and consumption in Algeria, including in electricity sector, are extracted from hydrocarbons at more than 99% Algeria is one of the developing countries, and the energy demand has increased with a decrease in the availability of energy resources. For sustainable development, the development of renewable energy resources with more efficient and pollution-free systems, has become a necessity today. It is clear that many different sources will be required to meet the nation’s energy demands. In order to meet this demand, several researches are being carried out using various technologies with the aim of diversifying energy resources to face risks and respond to environmental concerns. Our paper deals with the technique of transforming the kinetic energy of pedestrians into electrical energy by using piezoelectric crystals. The idea is to develop a “Power generation Floor” which is in reality a floor that can produce electricity when walked on. In this theses we have reviewed various concepts and methods of energy harvesting from a piezoelectric crystal. The generation of electrical energy is inextricably linked to the presence of human activity, it follows that areas with high human activity will offer large potential for electrical energy generation by transforming the kinetic energy of pedestrians into electricity. | en_US |
