The Relationship Between the Independence of the Central Bank of Jordan and Inflation in Jordan العلاقة بين استقلالية البنك المركزي الأردني والتضخم في الأردن

Abstract

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء العلاقة بين استقلالية البنك المركزي الأردني عن الخارج والتضخم في الأردن، باستخدام بيانات سنوية للفترة الزمنية (1994-2019)، ولتحقيق ذلك تم استخدام نموذج متجه الانحدار الذاتي (VAR)، كما هدفت الدراسة أيضاً إلى دراسة استقلالية البنك المركزي على المستوى الداخلي وصفيا. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود علاقة تكاملية طويلة الأجل بين متغيرات الدراسة، كما أظهرت الدراسة وجود أثر إيجابي لاستقلالية البنك المركزي عن الخارج على معدلات التضخم ولكن هذا الأثر غير مقبول احصائياً، وأظهرت النتائج أن درجة استقلالية البنك المركزي الأردني عن الداخل بحسب نموذج Cukiermen & Grilli بلغت 53.24%. Abstract The Relationship Between the Independence of the Central Bank of Jordan and Inflation in Jordan This Study aims to investigate the relationship between the independence of Central Bank of Jordan with inflation in Jordan, in addition to study the independence of the central bank from government descriptively during the period (1994-2019), the study employed the Vector Autoregressive Model (VAR). The results of the study have shown that central bank independence from abroad has positive insignificant impact on inflation rate, in addition to that the results of Cukiermen & Grilli Model indicate 53.24%. independency of central bank of Jordan from government.
