Abstract

The objective of this article is to trace the evolution of the divorce phenomenon in Algeria. This work also aims to provide a descriptive overview of the different types of divorce under Algerian law and to present some social and economic characteristics of divorced individuals. However, the absence of data due to difficulties in accessing sources makes any in-depth study of the phenomenon of divorce almost impossible.
