Abstract

This work consists of the synthesis of three compounds of 1,2. dithiole3.thiones derivatives, and the study of its inhibition effect on the carbon steel conilsion in a soluuon of sulfuric acid (pH=5) aerated at room temprature. Three compounds have been obtained in dfferent and acceptable yields: (I) 4-Phenyl-1, 2.dithiole-3-thione (II) 4-Phenyl-1, 2-dithiole-3-one (III) 3-methylthio- 4.Phenyl-l, 2-dithiotytium iodide The inhibition effect of the above compounds has been studied in the previous condition by the neutralization method, (I) and (III) shows a good results. Finally, we can conceder (I) and (III) compounds as inhibitorsof carbon steel conosion in the limits of conditions maintained earlier, and these products show promise in this field.
