dc.description.abstractIn this study, magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgONPs) were synthesized from Rosmarinus officinalis L. (rosemary) extract. Various spectroscopic and microscopic analyses were performed, including Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The formation of MgONPs was initially confirmed using UV-Vis spectroscopy at 230 nm, and the presence of carboxyl or amide groups was confirmed by FTIR. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed the size and structure of the nanoparticles. This study also aims to investigate the effect of the solvent (water) ratio on the extraction of phenolic compounds from Rosmarinus officinalis L. plant. UV-Vis spectroscopy and HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analyses were conducted.According to our results, the estimation of phenolic compounds in the aqueous extract showed the highest peak at 17-18 minutes, which was identified as rosmarinic aciden_US
