The phenomenon of violence is one of the most salient features of social life, affecting all societies. Given its seriousness as a threat to social entities, numerous scholarly studies have endeavored to understand it by focusing on various factors associated with its production—among them political, economic, and demographic factors. Other approaches argue that its genesis is tied to individual subjectivity, as in psychological explanations. However, in this research paper, we seek to transcend these perspectives by centering our analysis on the process of violence production through an appropriate sociological lens. This framework will enable us to uncover the mechanisms that render violence a manifestation of deviant social interactions, and to delineate the boundaries and indicators that lead to a purely sociological understanding of the phenomenonen_US
