dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to assess the degree to which academic leaders in Algerian universities practice environmentally sustainable functions from the perspective of faculty members holding administrative and leadership positions. These functions represented teaching, scientific research, administrative and organizational methods, and community service. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach, where data was collected using a questionnaire directed to a sample of university leaders (N=83) in a number of Algerian universities. The analysis showed variations in the level of practice across different functions. While the level of practices in the teaching and scientific research functions approached the average level, a noticeable decline was observed in the practices of administrative and organizational methods. The community service function was the weakest, as practices related to environmental sustainability appeared significantly behinden_US
