This thesis presents a comprehensive study of nonlinear input-output linearization control applied to a three-phase squirrel-cage induction machine. The mathematical model of the induction machine was established, first in the three-phase reference frame and then in the stationary two-phase (α, β) reference frame by applying the Concordia transformation, and validated through simulation under MATLAB/Simulink. Subsequently, the power electronic converter associated with the machine was studied, including the modeling of the three-phase diode rectifier, the LC filter, and the two-level voltage inverter. Two control strategies were analyzed and compared: full-wave control and sinusoidal-triangular pulse-width modulation (PWM) control. The simulation results demonstrate the superiority of PWM control in terms of spectral quality and total harmonic distortion (THD) reduction. Finally, a nonlinear input-output linearization control with PI regulators was developed for controlling the rotor flux and electromagnetic torque. The overall control structure includes an external speed loop and an internal nonlinear loop. The complete system was implemented under MATLAB/Simulink and tested in different scenarios: no-load starting, load application, parametric variation, and speed reversal. The obtained results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach and its robustness against disturbances. |
