This study aims to highlight the role of smart applications in organizing the handicraft services market in Algeria through a case study of the “KHADAM” application as a prototype digital platform connecting craftsmen with customers within the context of rapid digital transformation in the service sector. The study adopted descriptive and analytical approaches in addition to the conceptual case study method to analyze the application’s business model, while addressing the concepts, characteristics, and operational mechanisms of the handicraft services market in the digital environment. The findings revealed that smart applications contribute to improving access to handicraft services, enhancing transparency and trust among stakeholders, and organizing the relationship between supply and demand through digital mechanisms based on ratings, responsiveness, and geolocation. The study also showed that the proposed business model of the “KHADAM” application provides added value to the Algerian handicraft market and may contribute in the future to supporting digital transformation and improving the organization and efficiency of the handicraft sector
