Abstract: For the purpose of verify and quantify the effect of the installation of the fodder cultures of the family of the Fabaceae on some physico-chemical parameters of soil in agro-ecological condition of the Sahara, two adjacent parcels have been kept to the station ITDAS Hassi Ben Abdallah: one cultivated of the alfalfa (Medicago Sativa L.) during 04 years and the other bared. Our approach has been achieved with 05 taking of soil: one on the bare soil during the summer and the 04 others on soil cultivated of alfalfa during the different seasons. The main gotten results indicate that: •the rates of total and assimilated nitrogen are especially improved during the summer ; •a certain improvement of the rate of the organic matter in soil ; •No meaningful effect of the alfalfa on the pH, the total and active limestone. With regard to exchangeable cations, the calcium, the sodium and the potassium, their rates in soil decrease seen the requirements of the culture. To note that the Fabaceae benefit to soil at the end of the culture after their burying and the deterioration of the nodosities.en_US
