dc.description.abstractThe study of the diet of the Coot and of somespecies of ducks took place at El-Maleh Sebkha- El-Menéa (October to April).The study of diet Coot from the stomach content analysis has highlighted that it consumes two plant species and a Renonculaceaesp.ind Potamogetonaceae (sp.ind.) Animal fraction is represented by 4 species belonging to Coleoptera, the Hymenoptera, Diptera and the nematomorphs. Analysis of digestive tubes of nutsedge revealed a diet planktivore composed of 72.2% of Mollusks and 20.0% of ostracods. The diet of mallard is mainlycomposed of plants, with a rate of 91.8% represented especially by Ruppia maritima. Finally, the diet of the omnivorous marbled Teal is consisting essentially of66. 7% of animal prey and 33.3% of plant prey-
