The objective of this work is to study the alluvial soils of the Metlili River. For this, we tried to characterize soil sampled in five selected sites along the valley, upstream to downstream. Morphological and analytical study of different types of alluvial soils encountered, showed that these soils are poorly developed, formed under the influence of two types of alluvial and wind contribution, appear as laminations of alternating horizons between coarse and other very fine. Soils are generally unsalted. The lime content is low to medium, slightly to moderately alkaline, with very low to low organic matter content, except for environments that have a rich flora or she is average. The concentration of soluble salts is low, the geochemical facies isgenerally calci-magnesic carbonate.
