The essay conducted in the area of Ouargla, for three crop years and two cultivars: Ghars and Deglet Nour, on floral receptivity has shown that each cultivar has its own period of receptivity. For the cultivar Ghars, pollination must occur no later than the eighth day of the spathe opening. In Deglet Nour, it spreads out the twelfth day of the spathe opening. To avoid contamination by foreign pollen, in a controlled pollination, inflorescences should be wrapped for 20 days of the spathe opening in Ghars. In Deglet Nour, this period is one month.en_US
