Abstract: In this work, we studied the efficacy of corrosion inhibition of carbon steel X70 in H2SO40.5M solution using ferrocenyl compounds prepared in VPRS laboratory. These compounds are 2- (ferrocenyl methyl) aminobenzonitrile (Fc22), 3-(ferrocenyl methyl) aminobenzonitrile (Fc23) et 4-(ferrocenyl methyl) amino benzonitrile (Fc24). The inhibitory potency of these compounds was determined by the electrochemical method (extrapolation of Tafel lines). The overall results show that the compounds studied have varying percentages of inhibition and the adsorption of the inhibitor on the surface of the metal is made according to the model adsorption by the isotherm of Langmuir. In H2SO4 0.5M, the compound Fc24 had the best ability to inhibit at a concentration of 20ppm (R = 75.48%).
