Abstract: Oued Souf is facing problems of rising water tables, resulting from the lack of agricultural drainage and wastewater treatment. The study in this oasis aims to measure the effect of groundwater level on the upward dynamic of salts in soils. The recorded results show an increase in soil salinity in the Ghout with the groundwater level. The latter promotes salts accumulations and led to the decline of the palm groves in the region.
