The survey of some characteristic physico - chemical and biologic of the waters of the salt pan of Ain Beida, dawned of passage of the waste water of the pan of Ouargla toward the outlet of Oum Erreneb, permitted to value the impact (pathology and pollution) of the salt pan on the ecosystem. The results of analyses show that the waters of the salt pan of Ain Beida seem very contaminated with an average of DCO/DBO5 of 3,34 and present a dominance of germs in coliformes, Escherichia coli and fecal streptococci as well as the presence of the clostridiums. These generate a pollution having a threat on the ecosystem, a deterioration of the palm grove and a risk of disappearance of the migratory and sedentary birds. They have an action on the deterioration of soils and the contamination of the underground waters but also of the consequences on the man's health that appear by illnesses à watertransmission.en_US
